Fine art drawings are a form of graphics. An artist starts working with a sketch. A sketch is a quick drawing that does not take much time. It is an embodiment of the artist’s main idea and is somewhat like a snapshot taken on the go. In other words, this is a draft, a study for a future piece. However, with great artists such sketches can be so accomplished as to become works of art in their own right.

Kush went to an art school where drawing classes were regarded as the gateway to all other art forms. Without a grasp of the skills of drawing the students were not allowed to start painting. From drawing simple still life objects through Roman busts to portraits and nudes – all of this had to be mastered with an ordinary pencil.
